What the API does not yet cover yet

Written by Edouard Hesse

You will find here an honest list of what the API does not do today compared to the Data Lake. If one of these gaps blocks you, tell support@traackr.com: knowing which gaps block customers is what moves them up the list.

Whole areas

  • Benchmark. Competitive share of voice, brand and category tracking, market comparisons. A Benchmark API is announced as coming soon. The API covers the Campaign area today: campaigns, their creators, their posts and their spend.

  • Conversions. Short links, promo codes, attributed purchases, revenue and commission. On the API roadmap, no ETA yet.

  • Writing. The API is read-only. You cannot create a campaign, add a creator, set a tag or change a review status through it.

Calculations you do yourself

  • Cost efficiency (CPx). Cost per post, per engagement, per view: not computed, but every ingredient is available. See Cost efficiency.

  • Figures across campaigns. Campaign-level and per-creator figures are computed for you; brand, market and account figures are not. See Aggregating KPIs yourself.

  • Earned Media Value (EMV). Not a field in the API. Its main ingredient, the Vitality score, is: metrics.vit on each post.

Data the API does not return

Data

Notes

A post's deliverable type

Apply Traackr's classification table in Deliverables and fulfilment

A link from a post to the deliverable it fulfils

Rebuild fulfilment as described in Deliverables and fulfilment

Review status expiry date

Expired review statuses cannot be detected

Custom first and last names, creator email

Not exposed

Account custom fields

Not on the creator profile or on segments. On the roadmap, with no timeline yet

Who created or edited a campaign

Timestamps only, no user identity

History

The API returns the current state only: no "as of" date, no archive. To keep point-in-time data, store what you fetch, with the time you fetched it. Post metrics over time are expected at the end of 2026 (see Coming soon)

Custom reports. The API returns each campaign’s default report: the posts that match the campaign’s keywords, which are in keywords on GET /v1/campaigns/{campaignId}. Custom reports are not in the API, whether they sit inside a campaign or are content analysis reports. A default report has a single keyword group, the campaign’s keywords, so the API has no keyword-group field: keyword groups only matter in custom reports.

Technical constraints

Constraint

Detail

No OAuth

API key only. OAuth 2.0 support is planned for this fall

No per-object permissions

A key reads everything in its account

No webhooks

Polling only

No bulk export

100 items per request: a 50,000-post campaign is 500 calls

No lookup of several ids in one call

Batching will come soon in the API, before the end of 2026

No metrics over time

Each post returns its latest running total. Metrics over time are expected before the end of 2026

No account-level spend endpoint

spend on the campaign list covers most needs

Replication delay

The API is up to 4 hours behind the Traackr app. See Getting started

Coming soon

  • Post metrics over time - before the end of October 2026. Every measurement Traackr has taken on a post, as (timestamp, value) pairs. This is not a daily series: the points follow the measurement schedule below, so the gaps between them vary.

  • Benchmark API - Pilot in mid-November.

  • OAuth 2.0 - planned for this fall.

  • Paid and organic split on YouTube - expected in November 2026. It covers views and engagements on videos the creator links to the brand. Instagram is planned after YouTube, and will need the brand to connect its Meta ad account to Traackr.

  • Batching - before the end of 2026.

Custom fields and conversion data are on the roadmap, after the items above, with no timeline yet.

How often a post is measured

Traackr checks a campaign for new posts and recalculates its totals every day until 30 days after the campaign ends. Each post is measured on its own schedule:

Post age

Measured

First 7 days after publication

Daily

Days 8 to 30

Weekly

Days 31 to 90

Monthly

  • 60 and 90 days after the campaign ends, every post is measured again, whatever its age.

  • Posts from creators who connected their Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat account to Traackr are measured daily for the first 90 days after publication.

A post's figure can therefore stay flat for a week or a month, then move. That is the schedule, not a fault.

For anything else, ask support@traackr.com for the current position before you plan around it.

How to raise a gap

  • the field or capability you need

  • what you do with it: the decision it feeds, and who makes that decision

  • how you handle it today

  • whether it blocks you or only slows you down

The last 2 points are what separate a nice-to-have from a blocker, and they are what Traackr will prioritise on.
