X (Twitter) Tracking

Learn how often Twitter profiles and posts are tracked and which channels are eligible for tracking

Written by Paola Yoshimatsu
Updated this week

Traackr tracks Twitter (X) profiles and content at different frequencies. This allows us to keep campaign data up to date while maintaining platform performance.

Profile Tracking

Twitter profile data, such as follower count and other footprint metrics, is updated every 90 days.

Content Tracking

Twitter posts from tracked profiles are collected once per week*.

Channels That Are Not Tracked

To ensure reliable data collection, some Twitter channels are not eligible for tracking:

  • Channels with fewer than 1,000 followers

  • Channels that publish more than 100 posts per day

  • Channels that come from Entities

What content do we track?

Standard tweets and quoted tweets (aka “retweet with a comment”) are tracked. Retweets are not tracked.

Post Metrics in Reporting

Engagement metrics (such as likes, comments, and shares) are only updated for Twitter posts that are included in active campaigns.

What post metrics do we track?

The number of retweets (aka shares) and the number of likes are tracked. The number of replies is currently not tracked.

The concept of video views is not surfaced in any way by Twitter, so we can’t capture the number of views for a video contained in a tweet.

Need More Frequent Tracking?

*If you need more frequent tracking for specific X (Twitter) channels, please contact your Customer Partner (CP) or Customer Success Manager (CSM) to discuss available options.
